Year 2015 is an important milestone in the history of our country – it is the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day. Of course, Zhukovsky does not stay aloof from the preparations for the nationwide celebrations. A number of undertakings dedicated to the event are organized and led by the city administration and A.Voytyuk, mayor of Zhukovsky.
At the moment one of the most important objectives for the Science City of Zhukovsky is to pass the finest traditions of the national aviation to the younger generations. In order to succeed in it, “NIK” Ltd. with the assistance of Zhukovsky's authorities organizes meetings with people that have especially contributed to the development of the Russian aeronautics.
The volunteers of our company are taking an active part in preparing for the restoration of the spacecraft created within the Soviet space program «Buran”. It’s a «product 2.01», which should have performed the first manned space flight. Nowadays, the spacecraft is situated on the territory of the LII.

The results of the regional stage of the all-Russian competition «Russian organization of high social efficiency» have been made. In 2014 there were 12 nominations of competitions. The purpose of this competition is to identify the Russian organizations struggling for high performance in the solution of social problems.
«Let Us Preserve the History of Aerospace» Programme Seminar
NIK Ltd. together with the authorities of Zhukovsky city held another seminar on the «Let Us Preserve the History of Aerospace» programme. This programme is aimed at restoration of unique aircraft that have historical and technical value. The seminar took place on October 10, 2014 on board of the legendary supersonic aircraft Tu-144 (CCCP-77115).
In recent years there has been a great interest in establishing the link between the heritage of the Soviet aircraft industry and the traditions generated at the present time. One of the vivid examples of activities undertaken by the aviation community in this direction is setting up one of the seven surviving supersonic airliner Tu-144, symbol of the Russian aviation, as a monument in Zhukovsky.

Candidates for becoming cosmonauts, who started their training at Gagarin Research & Test Cosmonaut Center after the first open competition for their place in the cosmonaut team, passed one of the main examinations in their career, as reported by the Roscosmos (Russian Federal Space Agency) Press Service.
